George Robey Dickins was born 18 December 1850 at 1 Albert Terrace, Camden New Town.
By the time he was ten, the family were living at 3 Crane Street, Holy Trinity, Chester.
He really proves that the family had fallen on hard times by now. His profession is given at various times as Usher, Railway Porter and Hotel Servant.
He married Elizabeth BENNETT, daughter of Matthew Bennett, superintendent, at Old St Pancras on October 3, 1875.
By 1891 the family was living at 34 Goldington Street, St Pancras, and had been joined by George robey Dickins's father, George Dickins, retired Post Office clerk.
There are three known children of the marriage between George Robey Dickins and Elizabeth Bennett:
my great-grandmother, Ruth Elizabeth Charlotte Dickins, known as Lottie, and was a successful dancer, b April 29, 1876
