This is the Dickins ancestor I am stuck on, the one which will prove the descent from John Dickins and Mary Fowler a couple of generations up.
Richard Dickins, his father, was said to be the last Dickins to live at Church Preen, and so one can assume that he wasn't resident there, but the family having lost or sold all their manors and holdings, it is hard to track him down.
The family had a lot of links with a lot of places, and so far I have not managed to pin him down. I am relying on the genealogy printed in the History of Church Preen for my information, and I am aware that it is not reliable.
